- This boomerang is from the Northern or Western area of New South Wales, Australia. The wooden boomerang is crescent shaped and tapers to a point at either end. One surface of the boomerang is flat while the other is convex or curves outwards. Small hatched lines have been carved into the curved surface, on the right hand tip of the boomerang. The boomerang was collected by Alexander Morrison in the late 19th or early 20th Century. It was acquired by the Australian Museum in 1979.
