- Malagan figure carved from alstonia scholaris wood and ornamented with shell, resin, barkcloth and pigment. This tall figure originally had ear planks attached. Birds are held in front of the figure and represent the totems of the clan. The figure is from the Malagatsak series of Malagan found on the Tabar group of islands. Purchased from Captain Farrell in 1887. Simberi Island, New Ireland Province, PNG.
