Label:
A reed arrow with a carved wooden point, attached with string, resin and a leather band. The carved geometric designs on the point are filled with white ochre. The bone tip and barbs are affixed with plant fibre and resin. They are said to be used in warfare and are called "opop" and "le op" by the Meriam people. It is from the old 1910 collection; collected by C.M. Lewis in 1836. (157.8x1.7 cm.)
