- A large bamboo pipe made of stems of young bamboo, inserted into a bamboo bowl, with one node partially opened. There is a hole located close to the other end, in which to fit a 22cms long reed cigar or tobacco holder. It is decorated with incised geometric designs at both ends of the pipe, and human and animal carvings in the middle. It is used for smoking tobacco and is known as "sukub marap" by the Meriam people. It was collected by C. Hedley and A.R. McCulloch in 1907 for the Museum. (50x6.0cm)
